What are the advantages for the employee
  1. Safety training provides awareness of some of the hazards and prepares the employee to meet the safety challenges of their new workplace.
  2. Allows the employee to train at a pace that suits their learning capacity.
  3. Peace of mind that they are trained in basic industry safety.
  4. Provides an employment advantage when applying for a job, as the  employer realises the new employee is safety conscious by completing the training beforehand.

Does this course substitute for a site safety induction?

Good Question! No!

As all properties have their unique hazards, it is impossible to cover the lot. The training is intended to complement the safety induction for your property.

May the certificate be used more than once.

Yes.

If the employee pays for the certificate, it may be used across all properties accepting this training as part of their safety induction.

What are the advantages for the business owner?
  1. Many!
  2. The employer will save time, money, and resources. When new staff arrive at work, it may not be convenient to deliver basis safety training.
  3. Once the employee is onsite, the employer then only has to identify those hazards specific to their property and ensure the new employee is trained to recognise and deal with them.
  4. Training is often completed on the new employees own time and at their own pace. New employees will arrive on site, having already achieved the Safety Certificate and trained in the safety basics expected by your company.
  5. The simple assessment helps ensure that the information is understood and that the training is valid.
  6. You will help protect your employees from the hazards involved with working in your industry.
  7. Flexibility of when the training is completed. The training can be:
    1. In many cases, completed before the employee commences work.
    2. Completed at a rate to suit the employee.
    3. Redone as a disciplinary measure if the employee does not comply with your safety rules.
  8. The basic safety and fire training delivered on this site ensure safety training is delivered in a timely manner.
  9. Requiring all employees to have a Safety Certificate before commencing work demonstrates a “Duty of Care” and reveals the employer is concerned about employee safety and has done something positive to reduce the risks on their site.
  10. This training works on the same principle as the Construction Industry “White Card”. Employees must have the card before commencing work, so the employer knows that they have received basic safety instruction.
  11. The employer gains peace of mind knowing all their staff have some basic safety knowledge and will present for work being safety conscious.
How is this training paid for?
      1. The signup process will direct the applicant to a payment portal. Payment may be made through a PayPal account or by credit card.
      2. The site and payment process is secure.
      3. Larger numbers of employees may be manually enrolled by us, and payment can be by bank transfer.
For how long is the certificate valid?

The time varies throughout Australia when employees must repeat their fire safety training. Our site provides training in the use of fire-fighting appliances e.g., extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets. The employer must provide the onsite fire training, familiarising all employees with the exits, assembly areas, location of the appliances and how to react in case of an emergency and by conducting regular evacuation exercises etc.

Can the course be used for permanent staff also?

Sure can! It is a simple and cost-effective way to ensure that all employees receive basic safety training on a regular basis.
