WHO WE ARE
Workplace Safety Plus operates as a safety consultancy to business out of Bundaberg in Central Queensland. We have clients from Darwin to Melbourne.
Barry Hardy, our CEO has been operating as a safety consultant since 2005.
Prior to that, Barry had a career in Hospitality in Australia and London, and then taught that subject at TAFE on the Sunshine Coast, and later, as a trainer and director of a registered training organisation in the Wide Bay Area.
barry is a qualified trainer and has gained a Diploma in Business Administration, a Certificate IV in WH&S and is a qualified Fire Safety Adviser.
Barry has also served as a safety consultant in the mining industry around Blackwater in Central Queensland.
The original safety training websites were established in 2008 to provide a simple, cost efficient safety induction for overseas backpackers employed on various farms in the Wide Bay area. These sites provided the training in several languages.
These sites were further developed when other employers became interested in using these facilities to train their own staff.
WHAT WE DO
The site, workplacesafetyplus.com.au, has been established to train employees from small to large businesses, including the local sports club, news agency, car yard or retail store.
The new, or current employee can login and complete the training at their own pace. Every course has a certificate issued when the training is completed. The Safety Training course has an assessment to prove comprehension. This certificate may be retained in the employees file as proof of training.
Larger businesses can have their own site with one or more training courses and the Safe Work Procedures they require. This site can be adapted to include safety forms capable of being filled out and submitted in the field site maps and contact details, Fair Work documents and workplace agreements. We even train one of your employees to manage the back end of the site. Yearly fees commence at $2,500.00 per site.
